REEC

(Robotics-Enabled Environment Certification)

Certification Scheme Sumarry

  • Title : Robotics-Enabled Environment Certification (REEC)
  • REEC assesses whether urban and built environments are appropriately designed to support the safe and efficient coexistence of robots and humans.
  • The evaluation encompasses mobility, accessibility, safety, and operational efficiency, verifying the suitability of spatial configurations and technological infrastructure for robotic deployment. Initially focused on individual buildings, the scheme is designed to expand to complex facilities and city-scale environments.

| Areas of Certification

Spatial and Facility Environment

Assesses whether the physical layout and infrastructure of buildings and urban spaces support robot mobility and task execution.

Network and System Infrastructure

Evaluates whether data, network, and security systems are systematically established to enable integrated operation and real-time control of robots at both architectural and urban levels.

Robot Operations Management

Reviews the presence and coherence of robot operation plans, monitoring/control systems, and emergency response mechanisms in both public and private environments.

Robot Service Implementation

Assesses the existence, execution, and effectiveness of robot service scenarios to enhance user experience and service accessibility in buildings or urban settings.
